We love us some rescue pets here at Moo's Munchies.  Every pet we have ever had has been a rescue.

According to the US Humane Society, 6 - 8 million cats and dogs enter shelters each year. These are awesome pets and we strive to promote their adoption.

Just a couple of the benefits of getting a rescue animal

  • you save a life and they reward you with unconditional love
  • you get a great bargain - most shelters adoption fee includes microchips, vaccinations, and spay/neutering
  • you help the fight against puppy mills
  • most shelter pets are already potty trained

As Moo's Munchies grows, we want to give back to rescue operations.  Below are several rescue operations that we recommend and have had an impact in our lives.

Atlanta Humane Society serves about 25,000 animals each year, and places approximately 8,000 dogs and cats into forever homes. AHS is committed to finding homes for all adoptable pets. We do not euthanize adoptable animals, and there are no time limits for the animals once they are in our care. We got our boy Moo from AHS!

BullsEye Rescue Inc of Atlanta is a non-profit, licensed Georgia rescue committed to improving the lives & reputations of breeds typically classified as Bullies. We got Moo's sister, Fergie, from Bullseye rescue.

Good Mews offers an alternative to traditional animal shelters in the Metro-Atlanta area by providing a no-kill, cage-free haven for homeless, abused, or abandoned cats until placing them in permanent, loving homes. We got our first cat, Rudy, from Good Mews.
